hot"OFFICIAL INVITATION LEETTERS"

If you are either attending the conference or an author, and need invitation letters for visas and others purposes, please make inquiries with Ms. Sanhee Lee of KAIST.(mt12@kaist.ac.kr) While full paper authors will be issued an invitation letter, mere attendees will have to pre-register with the conference in order to obtain an official invitation letter (pre-registration is available through the homepage).

For others who are merely accompanying an author to visit Korea (and not attend the conference), we cannot issue any official invitation letter. That will have to be settled with officials at whichever country you are coming from.

hot"SHORT PAPER UPLOAD INSTRUCTION"
(Tmpl_pac.zip, MSWrd_pac.zip, Copyright Transfer Form.doc)

1. The format is the original submission formats (Tmpl_pac.zip, MSWrd_pac.zip).

2. Also fill in the simple copyright form and upload to the site below with the paper (Copyright Transfer Form.doc).

3. Deadline is July 15h PST, 2008.

4. The upload site is:

ftp://dxp.korea.ac.kr
ID : casaready
Password : cameraready
It is write only (if you have trouble, just send us a mail).

You will find a directory called "casa_CameraReadyShort into which you should upload your paper.

5. Upload both source files (so that we can make some minor changes if needed like page numbers) and pdf files.

When uploading use easy to understand names (like with your paper number). Like "paper00.pdf", "paper00.doc" or "copyright-paper00.doc"

"DECISIONS ON THE PAPER SUBMISSION HAVE BEEN MADE"

1. Decisions on the full paper submission have been made and notifications with reviewer comments were sent out on June 9, 2008 (Korea Time). There were about 100 submissions, and 32 papers were accepted as full papers. 12 papers were recommended as short and 8 as posters. This excludes the separate submissions made for short and poster papers which will be reviewed separately from this pool. If you did not hear from us, please let us know and we will be glad to send you all the reviewers comments and all ( gjkim@korea.ac.kr or parkjk@korea.ac.kr). For authors of accepted full papers, your camera ready is to due June 16 (Sorry, and we are negotiating to extend this deadline ...). Instructions for uploading your camera ready papers will be made very soon, but you should basically follow the CAVW production guideline and limit your pages to 8 pages.

2. Short and poster papers: For those papers submitted as full but recommended as short or poster papers, we need to know whether you would agree to publish your paper as short or poster on a separate proceeding (not on CAVW). Please let us know. For those prospective authors who agree to publish, we will provide instructions for uploading your paper soon. Short papers must be within 6 pages and posters, 4 pages.

3. Results regarding the separate submissions for the short and poster papers will be made and be notified to the corresponding authors by June 30, 2008.

Regarding the manuscript guideline for accepted full papers, there is a confusion whether to follow the CAVW journal guideline (which is single column, double space) or CASA proceeding paper guideline (double column, single space).  The former would produce too many pages, and thus we are in the process of negotiating with the CAVW to use the latter.  We will post the final decision very soon, as we get the word from Wiley (the publishers of CAVW).  In the mean time, the camera ready deadline for full papers is extended to June 25th.  The upload is to be made through Wiley's submission site (see below for detailed instructions).

  1. Submit the archived file and the author information through Wiley's electronic submission system.
Authors should ensure that they select/enter the correct details during their online submission:
    • Manuscript Type: "Special Issue Paper"
    • Special Issue: "Yes"
    • Special Issue Information: "CASA 2007"
  2. Each paper's main author must fill in a signed copyright form.
Copyright agreements are to be uploaded to the system as "Supplementary files not for review".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* PST(Pacific Standard Time) = GMT-8

More details about the conference and on paper submission will be available soon in the conference website.
